The Open Market is a traditional market housed in a modern setting. The eleven blocks house over 300 stalls , with the majority of aisles covered by clear polycarbonate canopies making the area light and airy yet providing a high degree of weather protection, making al-fresco shopping a pleasure year round.

The Open Market has a wide variety of goods and services on offer and its sheer size means you will probably want to visit us again to make sure you haven't missed anything.

Whilst shopping you might want to stop for a bite to eat, and the market has an abundance of multicultural cafes and takeaways, so there's sure to be something to suit everyone's taste; Greek mezes and continental platters, toasted sandwiches, full English breakfasts, fish and chips, the local delicacy of Bury black pudding served hot or cold with lashings of mustard or piccalilli, all these and more are available on full market days.

The area also has a modern, centrally located, toilet block which opened in 2014.
